The 2022 Judges were:

Jude Turner

Jude Turner, owner of Cravehome

We are pleased to welcome Jude back to our team of judges this year. Jude is the owner of the homeware shop Cravehome (cravehome.co.nz), in Birkenhead Village and Chair of the Birkenhead Town Centre Association.

Jude has always had an eye for homewares, home decor, and design.


Kate Burton-Brown

Kate Burton-Brown, a local freelance photographer ( Kate Burton-Brown Photography ) also returns for a second year. Kate studied Photography and Interior Design and worked in the furniture industry before embarking on her successful photography career.

With a niche for interiors, lifestyle, and product photography, Kate works with a broad range of clients. She prides herself on capturing the essence of the brief; presenting a polished result to connect with the viewer.

Kate loves that the Birkenhead photo competition celebrates Birkenhead in all its avenues and is looking forward to judging the submissions by this year’s participants.

Phil Fogle

We are also pleased to welcome Phil back to our team of judges this year. Phil is a professional photographer with many years of experience and was previously a judge in 2018 and 2019.

His early career centered around magazine and fashion photography, while his recent work includes Corporate story-telling and portraits.
