The recent fog made the BIrkenhead Ferry Building appear ghostlike and otherworldly. Somewhat prescient at the time given AT’s announcement about suspending the ferry service. Fortunately, a new operator ensures continued ferry operation.

This photo captures the spirit of Chelsea Sugar’s Golden Syrup. The morning sun briefly illuminated the metal in the building and rendered it golden.
A foggy morning at Chelsea Sugar, the air was still, the sea was calm and a lone moored yacht juxtaposed, sits undisturbed while the peaks of the city peer through the low-hanging clouds.

I love to hear children giggling while at play. It was the giggle that caught my attention and I saw this mum in her Chelsea sugar pink matching jacket playing with her child at the Sugar cafe playground.
While looking out over the Chelsea sugar works I suddenly realised that with out sugar there is no delicious, how boring life would be!
Watching these fledgling herons reminded me of my childhood with two older brothers where sibling rivalry was very strong. I washed these young herons at Le Roys bush, for a while observing how they playfully interacted with each other.
